Join Friends For Life on November 8th for an evening of fun, four legged friends and festivities as we go “Beyond The Velvet Leash” at our annual fundraising gala at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston!

For years, we have witnessed firsthand the Friends For Life dedication to improving animals’ lives. This year, Friends For Life is going “beyond the velvet leash” for our fundraising gala theme, Studio Fifty-Fur.

We continue to provide community based services that no other shelter in Houston offers. Some animals require medical treatment or behavior rehabilitation, while others simply need a little tender loving care from our dedicated staff, fosters and volunteers. The difference this makes in their lives is astounding. It brings us joy to see an animal sleep safely for the first time or to witness them play after a much-needed surgery.

 None of this would be possible without your support. We cordially invite you to the Four Seasons Hotel Houston on November 8, where you will have the opportunity to meet some of the animals you help save and witness their incredible journeys.

 We’re honored to have Robert Fisher as our Chair. Robert, the Hospital Director at Garden Oaks Veterinary Clinic, has made a lasting difference in Houston animal welfare as a rescuer, advocate, and member of the Crime Stoppers Animal Cruelty Taskforce. Robert has a huge heart for animals and shares the Friends For Life vision of creating programs that bring long-term solutions.

 This year, we will be honoring Lesa Skipper, Certified EOS Implementer®️. Lesa stepped in at a crucial inflection point for Friends For Life to train staff on The Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS). It is a business system as forward thinking as the shelter’s animal programs. Lesa has been a donor, an advisor, a guide and a constant advocate. She has been instrumental in making sure the shelter’s structure as an organization flexes strong enough to support all of the groundbreaking things we are doing!
