2023 Lights in the Heights

The neighborhood blew it out of the water this year! The lights, decoration, and participation were groundbreaking! Even with the rain, people were out in full with no shortage of smiles and laughter. The LITH judging committee toured the route the evening of Thursday, December 7 to see all the amazing creations!  There were so many good ones this year and an unprecedented tie for best block! The following are this year’s award-winning homes:

⓵ PICK OF THE NIGHT – 919 Omar (BLUEY!)

⓶ BEST BLOCK (It’s a Tie!!)

  • 400/500 Block of Omar (DISCOMAR!)
  • 400/500 Block of Highland (STUNNING!)
  • ⓷ BEST THEME – 939 Omar (BUCCEES!)

    ⓸ MOST CREATIVE – 3002 Norhill – (Nutcracker)

    ⓹ MOST COLORFUL – 1126 Highland

    ⓺ HO-HO-HO! – 915 Redan

    ⓻ MOST TRADITIONAL – 1029 Omar

    ⓼ MOST HISTORICAL – 405 Highland

    ⓽ MOST BEAUTIFUL – 529 Highland

Houses are either on the official route or nominated by neighbors for consideration. The judges start with a list of categories that have been used for years but can name ad hoc categories based on what they find on their tour. Thank you to Highland and Omar for doing such a great job on the route and to everyone who participated in making our neighborhood beautiful and full of holiday cheer! Lights in the Heights is the result of a massive amount of work by a volunteer team of neighbors. With the event now well in the rear-view mirror, it’s time to extend a big thank you to the entire team of LITH 2023 Chairs, Volunteers, and Sponsors!
